He says its in heavily polished condition, he's not kidding. That dial though is something else, and rose gold too...

Too bad that the edges have been rounded. That's going to cost him $1000 or more in the end.

I don't think the 354s came with the RG Regulators...

It is a put together though while that dial was found with the 354 movement, there are lots of other parts that don't fit not to mention the movement and case condition which are both poor.

    $3,163.31

Yes - it has more "ooooo, shiny!".... which is my primary motivation for watch purchases. :p

I dunno about that... I would argue stepped has /more/ shiny since there's more surface area and more surfaces ;)

The stepped dial adds at least $1000 in value to the watch whether it is a connie or the more uncommon seamaster.

So given that, do you think the ~$3,1K was a reasonable price?

Oh, no argument on that whatsoever! To me, the 2799 is the quintessential bumper Constellation. I wouldn't mind having the Grand Luxe stepped dial version in pink gold, but I'm not going out of my way to hunt one down. If it falls in my lap at a sweet price, sure. But I'm pretty damn content with my comparibly humble DeLuxe.

Too many questions - the most important one being is the dial intact (raised by Hoi) - since the question remains is it a 50x dial force fit into a 354. I would say the watch value would be based on the value of its parts because the movement is wrong and the case is in bad shape. With that in mind I think the price was a bit too high but if the dial was a legit 354 dial and say you had a watch like this one to swap dials with - http://www.ebay.com/itm/150876625270?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network then you'd have a sweet looking connie that would probably be worth ~$5k.
