How rare are these chronometres by the way?

Must admit that the bracelet (frantic as it might be) wooed me ... That and the fact that I'm partial to gold dials).

By the way, like Bill Sohne mentioned, the movement mentions being adjusted to two positions and temperature and it's numbered.

Hi Guys

With regards to the UG chronometres.... the earliest bumpers just have a 4 digit serial number and the word " UNADJUSTED" is not present on the movement....

The later micro rotors I have seen two flavors....
1) serial numbered and signed adj 5 post and temp....
2) serial numbered and signed adj 2 positions and temp....

Best

Well my friends, the saga continues.

Initially the seller was adamant on cash in person. Nervous guy, doesn't want the aggrevation of sending expensive stuff. Having talked to him over the phone, he relented and agreed on an insured shipment.

Vetted him. Guy is legit. Wired the money (paypal was out of the question, friends&family as well). He contacted me today, his bank advised him that I would be able to retract my payment the next 10 days (which I most certainly am not able to) and that he would only ship after that.

Some deals eh...

Best of luck - we're all rooting for you.

But not in the Australian sense. Well, not me anyway.

Good luck, hope it all goes as planned. That one looks like it'll be worth it.

Been away for too long and just catching up on what I’ve missed. Can’t wait to see how this turns out. Looks like a great find and a beautiful watch.

Watch is near me (Brussels) but delivery is due on Monday. Pity I'm in an amusement park that day with the wee bairns. So Tuesday it is!

I hope the case is still sharp, that was the most difficult to assess on the pics.

Watch has been in the seller's family since 1980 when his pops won a bet and the other party couldn't pay up. Watch was stored in a cupboard since 1991 when his father passed away. Service might be due 😀

Thanks @Mazoue for sparing the link, happy with it.

Only need some polywatch 😀

Jeez it's heavy. Bracelet also too long.

Congratulations.

Now that you owe me one, when you see a Big Eye going cheap, I'm expecting a call 😉

I'd forgotten what 'root' means in Australia 🙄

Sure, but What's a big eye? 😵‍💫

This, I think?
