    So I aspire to one day acquiring a solid gold pie pan Connie (hopefully 564).
    Since this is quite an investment I wish to learn more about them.
    I have been watching various examples and one question is about the gold dials...
    why do some appear shiny reflective:

    You'd have better luck searching for a 50's bumper caliber 354 or full rotor caliber 505 if you want a gold dial Deluxe.

    sir. there are all the same, probably is the photo effect.
    but i think is very very hard to find only this dial.
    if i remeber good in 5 years i see only one for sell on ebay and the price is around 1200 euro.
    but all is possible ...you know...???!!!!:):):)

    There are in fact 2 type of dial in Connie Deluxe era 50 and early 60. The shiny one is often called mirror dial and the flat one is brushed dial. Mirror dial is easier to find in earlier years. However to be closer to reality we need another detective work of John Smith.......

    You flatter me, H ;) Sadly, we can't do the same sort of table for the Connie Deluxe and Grande Luxe because they don't have case numbers, just movement numbers. And the movement numbers are not in chronological sequence, as we can see from the OT 2500 table. You are correct about the two types of dial finish, though, I am sure - they may even be from two different dial makers . . .

    4 great varieties, but 3 descriptions. is that because the one on the far right doesn't have a gold dial or?
