No, i’m not talking about going all in into wearing rubber, other than on my wrist for these two. ;)

Had a wow moment installing the straps on my watches, as the colours matched both watches perfectly, making these two my favourite “summertime” divers in my collection.

What do you guys think, does the Isofrane straps win over the original mesh?

Supernice combo , although the original mesh bracelet has its appeal these are a very nice alternative in my opinion. Oikein nättiä.

    Win over the original? No.

Look good on the straps? Absolutely!

How are the straps comfort wise? They look pretty thick and am wondering how flexible they are on the wrist.

On my wrist the Ploprof and SM1000 sits quite well actually, just a bit higher than with a mesh.

And the strap is not bending the watch over my wrist, so it sits flat on the wrist, and i’m not banging it on the table or obstacles.

But i can understand that this is much depending on one’s wrist size and shape how these watches with the rubber straps sit on the wrist.

These guys are very thick, and you “feel” them on the wrist more than the mesh, but quite similar feel to wearing a Ploprof metal bracelet.

So for me a definite summer favourite.

I think you cant better the design of those rubber straps
But in my opinion the Isofrane straps are a very different strap to the Omega rubber straps of the same design. The Omega ones are much thinner, more flexible and comfortable. I have ones in 20mm and 22m on other Omega divers and they feel much better on the wrist than the Isofrane. One downside is the slots for the clasp are wider apart so there is less accurate adjustment.

Aaand here’s some wrist shots to follow.

In the pictures you can see how the strap “raises” the watch just a bit from the wrist, that i don’t find at all uncomfortable or wrong as the rubber still grips well on the sides of the wrist so that it doesn’t tip over.

And yes to one comment above, i like how close the slots are so you can always adjust for an comfortable tightness on them.

Isofrane straps get better once they absorb your body temperature.
Suit a bigger wrist, used to wear one a bit years ago. Great for humid climates and sandy situations

They did get thicker a few years back for some reason

Well, I am out then. I have little chicken wrists.

Since I have gone to a NATO on my triple date I enjoy wearing it much more in the summer here (mostly humid Buffalo, NY weather) and I am also in Disney World 2-3 times a year. The bracelet just always stuck to me and became annoying. Next watch I am pretty sure will be the new white dial Diver and was thinking of options so thank you for your quick explanations @STANDY @JanV @pascs

Maybe in this case a vintage look corfam strap could work for you?

I have a NOS one I purchased off of eBay a few weeks back for my 145.006 that I haven't tried out yet as I have been happy with the vintage leather racing strap I purchased for it. Perhaps this weekend I will give that Corfam strap a go and see how it is. Thank you for the suggestion!
