Link to images of the rioting in Vancouver some years ago, when the Vancouver Canucks lost the Staley Cup playoffs. Canada quiet and peaceful? Where’d you hear that?

...had just never heard of anything that would come close to such events in Canada!!

This is something we are more used to, in France... 😒

Yep, super quiet and peaceful, like Vancouver after they lost the last time...😁

Game over! Canadiens 3, Lightning, 2! Stay tuned.

They just want to win it in Tampa, that's all....😝

BTW, when it comes to famous Canadian hockey players...this guy is best of all time for his contribution to humanity. Truly a man among men.

In Montreal they love the smell of teargas and burning police cars in the morning...
With a Schwartz’s medium, fries and a pickle…

Great run by the Habs, it really lifted the city in this time of lockdown. It does typically take years to build a team and momentum to win a championship. Hopefully this is our first step and we can be a contender over the next 3 - 5 years

A few days late (Vax #2 hit me like a freight train).

Agreed. By far. Habs were simply outplayed by a superior team and their stellar netminder. The Leafs would have been a more worthy opponent. Oh, right. They lost first round. Sure, there were a few moments Montreal held sway and had the upper hand, yet that represented perhaps 10% of the series. And as dedicated Flames fan, there’s nothing I would have loved more than to see someone, anyone (except the Vancouver Canucks), hand Tampa their asses.

(Flames won in 2004. It was a good goal. Video proves it. Just saying. ::stirthepot::)

The Maple Laughs?!? They haven't won anything in over 50 years.

The Habs dominated game #2 in Tampa, but the last second goal by Tampa att he end of the 2nd period killed them. A won that night would have made the difference. The coach out with Covid didn't help either. But Tampa is a great team with a great goalie, built by Julien Brisebois (ex ass't GM in Montreal) and deserved the win.

Tough loss for the Flames in '04. But I thought analysis showed the Gelinas goal was not in:

That’s OK. Flames being the only visiting team to win the Cup in the old Montreal Forum always brings a smile. 😁
