As the only Malaysian girl on the forum who had her fair share of trading & selling off Coke , Pepsi , Batman & Hulk , I thought of chipping in but since you were addressing a specific gender of the forum , I apologize & shall withdraw myself. As You Were Gentlemen !

Go ceramic! 馃榾

Have my full set available for sale if you decide to go that route. 馃槈

Just purchased the 116710BLNR so no sense in owning practically the same watch in different colors.

Thanks all for the response, I just tried on the Ceramic GMT in black yesterday again and I do like it very much! I probably do prefer the proportions of the 16710 though, BUT can't get past the price... for the same price I'd probably rather buy a mint JLC master calendar steel, or similar!

Perhaps as a few people have suggested, I'll release my 'SEL' requirement and go an old vintage model GMT...

[emoji106] what appeals to u is the most important. Wear it in good health.

I blame it on the autoconnect.

Haha didn't realise what you were referring to, then saw the 'gentry'! I copy and pasted the post from a post i put on 'the urban gentry' group on facebook, so apologies! gentry is shorthand for that group (which I guess is sexist by it's name? but it's referring more to the owner of the group than any members specfically)

Did you sell your Hulk or did I miss(understand) something? I'm intrigued about the other GMTs too. Did you have a 16760 or a Bezel-swap Pepsi->Coke?

When I was in Secondary school during the holiday breaks, I would visit Petaling Street , a flea market just to check out all the Fake / Imitation Swiss watches. I would just listen, observe what people are doing & saying. Are you surprise now Longbow just because I dont announce these things on the forum ? It's just pure fun selling , buying swapping & learning . It's call doing a Taylor Swift ! Sold Hulk + Old Polar , some Subs. Bezel Swap Pepsi->Coke then Sold the Coke.
Regretted action but there are plenty of cokes around. Even as we speak there's a Coke from 2005 I think going for US5880. And there's Chinese seller right now who's actually wearing a Pepsi.Told him to give me 6 mths to decide whether to buy it off his wrist ! but need to swap it for a Coke bezel which will cost another RM1500- RM1600
Planning to buy Batman ( difference btwn preowned & new unworn is US1250 here ) but will wait for Baselworld 2017 rumours of a ceramic Coke , Sprite or 50th anniv Sea Dweller LE. The Subs & GMT Master I & II
( preferably with the larger crown & cerachrom ) are the most sought after models here. It's easy to find them
( lots of sellers & buyers around ) so I found it very strange when Riviera said Rio was a tough place to find em'. I never intended to keep my Rolex watches & always lost money. I even sold off my own old Subdate ( A gift from my brother ) & an Omega to pay for my Dad's & my late beloved mum's surgeries respectively .No regrets at all here. You guys stick to your Rolex watches not me ! Nothing last 4ever !

@meganfox17 Rokex will sell you the coke insert for less than a 100 dollars.

To the OP id go aluminum. 16710. Good solid technology and proportions and yoo can swap inserts at home amd wear it as pepsi, black or coke.

Thank You @Nobel Prize . The Sneaky Chinaman said he would sell me the Pepsi & help me change the bezel insert for an additional RM1500 ! But the last AD I went to here didnt allow me to do such things .The Seller had a big angry frown on his forehead ! Yes.. I think the older ref 16710 & 16750 bezel have slightly different diameter sizes too. Lots of fakes & improper fitting bezel inserts on ebay

P/S I have that Coke on that hairy wrist photo on my hp ![emoji14] just to remind myself I need that Coke minus the hairy limb back !

What the boutique told me here is that they will sell and install the bezel as long as your serial had that bezel. For example on my 16710 they will sell me a coke or a black, but not a pepsi. If you keep the original its like 70 dollars if memory serves me right, if they keep the original then its about 45. And they swap it right there. (NYC Boutique) i got my peosi bezel from my brother in law as it was also a 2004. Swapping them takes a little practice but then its easy enough.

..will wait for Baselworld 2017 rumours of a ceramic Coke...

I bet they issue it in white gold or maybe even platinum instead of stainless steel....just to annoy us all.

Any opinions on the relative merits of 17710 vs 16750 vs 16760? Does that bezel swap restriction also apply to the bracelets, i.e. will Rolex only supply a replacement of the same type as originally fitted (jubilee or Oyster)?

You were so sensitive and offended by the term "gentry" but you used a derogatory racist term yourself? Tsk tsk tsk. This post should be deleted.

Sorry Buddy! From where I come from , people here have a high level of tolerance towards other races, they actually laugh at themselves. I'm a hybrid myself, part native Malay part Chinese part Indian, grew up with children from other races. I dare say the word anywhere in Malaysia actually. Do you know why Sir ? Because I speak their mother tongue too -Hokkien & a little Mandarin so I have immunity from Chinese community ...really [emoji73]

P/S - This Chinese symbols are especially for You @omitohud 59903e3631cecddd22d3864c1be56f93.jpg

I would not choose the ceramic LN over a pre-ceramic GMT. I can't warm to the Pepsi bezel colours for some reason, so the inserts would not be that useful for me on the pre-ceramic.

So..I would either go pre-ceramic Coke or ceramic BLNR as I think the blue on the BLNR lightens the chunkier ceramic bezel effect. All very much personal taste of course...OP will be happy with whatever choice he makes馃榾

Hey @meganfox17 I could be completely wrong in my evaluation, but I just don't trust online sellers in Brazil. I am not aware of any local equivalents to DavidSW/ Watchuwant etc. I also worry about phishing attempts with people using online sales to find out you are potential target for robbery. Rio is a beautiful place, but I do live in a much more heightened state of security awareness than most.馃槈

If I had a "DavidSW" in Brazil...I would be buying grey market/pre-owned Omegas such as the DSOTM etc. left right and center. At US$8K the XXOTM watches are very good value for money馃憤. So unfortunately all my watches had to be purchased in boutiques or ADs, the positives being relationship perks.

Where did you capture the rumor around the ceramic coke for Basel 2017? I did not see anything in the Rolex Passion report. Are you sure they would release it on SS and not white gold first?
