Glycine has very solid roots with a well respected history. At one point they were sold along with Rolex and Omega. The early Airman employed the Felsa 692 Bidynator movement which I am led to believe was the first automatic movement that wound in both directions. They didn't fair well during the Quartz crisis. They lost a lot when Charles Hertig Jr gave up the reigns in 1984. The writing was on the wall. Invicta now own them so well and truly down the toilet.
The Combat had no actually military provenance. Neither did the Airman but they were popular with USAF personnel during the Vietnam war.
If you truly regard Glycine with such disdain and vitriol along with the Combat shoot me PM and I will take that horrible, repugnant little watch off your hands.
