·Hi all,
A few months ago I bought a Globemaster with a white dial. Lovely watch! It came on a bracelet but I quickly changed it for one of a few leather straps I bought for it (2 alligator and 2 leather straps). Just now I changed it back to the bracelet and -again- find it not very comfortable.
My problems with it it are:
1. The underside of the clasp has some very sharp edges that cut into the underside of my wrist. I rang my local (Amsterdam) AD and asked if they can polish the sharp edges off, but they can only send it to the Brussels Omega Service Center and get back to me with a quotation in a few weeks. Jeez.
2. There is no option to adjust the clasp. I don't mean no slow-adjust with a toothpick like one would on virually any watch that has been made since the 60s. I mean no adjustment at all. This means that in order to widen or tighten the bracelet, I would bring with me a screwdriver and a spare link at all times.
Any advice is welcome on (1) what to do with the clasp and the sharp edges? Take it to a local non-AD? I think it is bad service that they cannot fix this issue for me on site, but have to send it in. And (2) are there any clasps available WITH quick adjustment for this bracelet? Or do bracelets from other models fit the GM case?
I'm quickly swapping back to leather.. thanks for any advice!
