Girard-Perregaux cal. 1791, a 17-jewel manual-wind movement with period-appropriate finishing and engraving. The movement appears original to the case and is currently running at approximately +18 s/day with ~255° amplitude, which seems quite healthy for an unserviced example of this age. The dial is GP-signed with consistent fonts and even, honest patina, and the rectangular steel case shows normal wear without signs of heavy polishing.

Based on the cal. 1791 architecture and GP engraving style, this appears to be a late-1940s example, likely produced around 1948–1950.

Overall, it appears to be a straightforward, original mid-century GP with no obvious red flags, though I’m happy to hear other opinions.
