Parting with my 17 jewel G.P. from the 50's/60's.
Stainless steel case in excellent untouched condition measures 33mm in diameter excluding original crown. Screw case back with no issues.
Service history is unknown but keeps excellent time. As you can see from the images a patina has started to form on the dial. Comes on black leather strap.
£270, 320eu, $420. Payment by bt preferred. Free shipping in the UK with most other locations at cost.
Any questions please message me.

Very nice...I really think it's more like '50s in style though, and appears to be a radium dial.

Here is mine for comparison:

Thanks Adam,

I have to admit to going around in circles attempting to date this piece, unfortunately GP were unable to help. As you say the dial does look radium and I would bow to your knowledge as to age. I think what attracted me to it initially were those fine sharp lugs.

GP is not the same company now as it was back then.

You can almost fill in the blank with that statement. 😉

Have to say GP were helpful but although they do have some original records, surprise surprise not what I was after.

For sure I agree, Adam. Maybe early 1960s at the latest. The seller's lovely example also still has the pure Schild movement (adjusted too!), whereas by the mid 1960s GP were using an "in house" movement derived from AS and shared among several watch brands (Zodiac, Eberhard, Doxa & Favre-Leuba): http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?13&ranfft&0&2uswk&Girard-Perregaux_32_29
Best & GLWTS of that sweet Gyromatic,
T.
