·Offered for sale is my Girard-Perregaux Ref. 4946 automatic chronograph in stainless steel with the less commonly seen black dial and sapphire exhibition caseback.
This is a reference that is becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly in this dial configuration and without any Ferrari branding.
Specification
Included
The watch underwent a complete overhaul by Wempe in Nürnberg, Germany, in June 2022 at a cost of €1,357. The original invoice is included and details the work carried out, giving the next owner complete confidence in the watch’s mechanical condition.
The watch has been worn and naturally has light scratches and marks to the case commensurate with careful use and age. I have made no attempt to disguise these and would ask that you study the photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
The crystal is in excellent condition with no obvious marks that I can see.
The dial is spotless.
The movement is running well and all functions, including the chronograph and date change, operate exactly as they should.
If you would like additional photographs of any particular area, please just ask and I’ll happily provide them as I do not accept returns.
The combination of the less commonly seen black dial, documented 2022 Wempe overhaul, original GP buckle and overall honest condition makes this one of the better examples currently available.
£4750 GBP or offers.
This is also listed on eBay where it can go securely through the Global Shipping programme.
