This "73" GMT has a few ghosts as it's original owner was a British marine comando and has seen action in Ireland, Borneo, Indonesia. When I managed to convince him to part with it it was a mess, the M60 had really given the GMT a hard time, no wonder it looks tired !
It looks perfect!
Thank you MaiLollo, unfortunately it has been heavily polished which was unavoidable as it was run over by three cars in 89. Notice the lume has dropped out of the 24 hr hand and there is slight water damage on the dial at 10 ( Hard to see without a 10x loupe).
Original dial and hands.
It has had a lot of tlc, almost bullet proof.
As for the M60 comment I can't verify that as my friend is in Egypt at the moment but I will follow it up , from what I can gather they were a law unto themslves in Bornio. In jungle warfare some of the rules and equipmemt goes out the window and they were working with US special forces. Who were probably not officially there , just like our SAS in Oman for 10 or so years.

This one I attached to my re-cased MkII, picked up on ebay for nothing some years ago.
