Getting a new bezel for my electronic omega

The bezel in this watch broke into pieces and I can't find anywhere to buy a new bezel, anyone knows where I can order a new bezel?

It doesn't have to be original, it can even be flat stainless steel without any marking, I just want a reasonable price.

If you’re not in a rush the best thing to do is sit on eBay and wait for a used bezel or used complete case to come up. It happens less frequently than it use to, but they are still out there!

As a guide there was a rough case and bezel that recently sold in the states for $100 plus shipping and there is currently a tremendously over priced complete case and bracelet in Israel… but you can buy a complete watch for the money they want for the case!

Alternatively that are a few people on here that can make bezel inserts. Although you’d have to contact them directly to see if they’d take on the work.

I actually live in Israel.

Do you know the names of those that make bezels here and how much do they take?

maybe there's an insert of another watch that can fit this watch?
I'd even put a simple blank washer if I could but I don't have the tools to measure this accurately

I have a Citizen Promaster that had the bezel ring missing,
I found that I had next to no chance of finding a replacement.
So I measured the bezel both the inside and outside diameter, and hit eBay looking for a possible generic replacement.
I found a potential replacement that had the required inside diameter, but the outside diameter was slightly larger, it was a generic ceramic ring meant for some Rolex models. By pure luck it was an almost perfect colour match.
I had to grind it down to fit,
I held it on my fingers inside it with just enough tension to let it rotate on my fingers and used a stone in Dremal to grind it.
Secured it with a bit of superglue and happy days

You could try mcgyver on here, his work is amazingly. There is another chap in Spain, I think… he’s on Instagram as: odokadolo_industries

Alternatively as a quick fix, you could clean the inside of the bezel out properly, buy and mix some acrylic resin and poor it in, then sand back with wet and dry and polywatch to get the finish.

So I found a bezel on AliExpress but it has a 1mm thicker outer and inner diameter and it's also angled, it should be completely flat.

Removing material from the outer edge is easy but on the inside I think it's going to be difficult, do you have any tips on to do it?

So it has a inverted dished form? What’s it made of?
With my old Promaster the dished form was useful as I didn’t have to worry about the inside diameter as it sat above the inside of the bezel and it closely cleared the crystal.
The pix below, might help explain better.

As the bezel ring insert was both ceramic and dished made grinding the outer diameter a problem, normally I’d use a lathe but my lathe is a large industrial one and I both too large and too brutal for this (I now have a second lathe that is more suited to small work)

I only needed to remove @ 0.1mm of material.
The ceramic is very hard and brittle, so while I was experimenting with things that could remove the excess material from the outer diameter, the ceramic material was too hard for files etc.
I was holding it with a couple of fingers inside the inner diameter, when I gently placed the grinding stone of a Drexel against the outer diameter of the bezel insert to see if it would even make a mark on the ceramic…. Hey presto! I found the insert turned quite freely on my fingers, as the Drexel turned against it…… not only that but material was being slowly but steadily and evenly removed.
It was basically removing material a bit like I’d hoped to do in the lathe, without me having to go to the trouble of making a special holder to hold it in the lathe chuck.
So I just continued to spin it on my fingers with the Drexel until I got it to the desired diameter.
As I had my hands somewhat full at the time I wasn’t in a position to take pix of the process.

Proper engineering practice…..NO, but sometimes dumb arsed luck lands a easy solution right in your lap!
