Be very careful, fakes are sold on eBay too, complete with fake packaging.

If you're interested in a used one for a bit less I've got one I don't wear, bought it on a biohazard grade PO orange croc strap that's since gone in the bin so I've got no use for it now.

If you are buying from a reputable source then it should be fine, but I've bought a 'genuine' one before from ebay with all the correct markings etc but when it arrived it was obviously fake as the quality wasnt as good as a genuine Omega one.

The Omega ones are nice to have it you have an Omega deployant strap but otherwise I use the Hirsch Sport deployant for standard straps, very nice quality and good price. Reduces the chances of dropping the watch when putting it on too

Doesn't Ottofrei offer these with similar pricing compared to the ones you linked through ebay?

Unfortunately I'm in the UK so I use Cousins rather than Otto Frei. Although OF sells pieces cheaper, import duty hikes the actual price up for me and a new clasp from Cousins is around £250.

I would definitely be interested in a used one but unfortunately from outside of the UK, the same import fees apply.

I've got an original but I've also got an unbranded copy from Timepiece Republic (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/18mm-Sta...trap-Band-Fit-OMEGA-SpeedMaster-/110872759608Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network) which I think is just as good. Missing the Omega symbol but for $45 I'm not complaining, I just like the functionality of the Omega deploy ant over most generic ones. Planning on equipping all my watches with these once the current straps start wearing out.

Are those unbranded ones really ok? I assumed they were quite poor and rattly like the one I've just taken off.

I can't vouch for the consistency of their quality control as I've only bought one so far but the one I received is practically identical to my genuine version. It locks perfectly, releases perfectly, doesn't rattle etc.
