Gentlemen.... Thoughts On

Out of those two I definitely favor the Gemini, (i like how the blue pops), although both are beautiful. I've definitely been considering one for a while, but have since burned through my watch budget on other purchases. Noted japanese sellers, Big and Sab, have them in straight auctions fairly often.

Robert, I guess like anything else its the price he was willing to part with it, that prohibited him from selling it. I see these sell for 3k+ recently in auctions, like this one w. box and papers: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400447766254?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

Here is my favorite modern iteration of the Speedmaster. Although it was only in production for 1 year, its certainly not an LE. Here is one ending soon for 2800 with no bidders from an omega forum recommended seller, in a complete set. For your consideration:

Otherwise, I'll be keeping my eyes open for either model, for you.

Regards,
Kendrick

Kendrick,

I have been looking at that actual listing for the last few days, you seem to be guiding me to all my favourite watches lol

I think for me though the Gemini IV is the one. I also looked at that listing for the Gemini IV but for me the box is missing which is a shame as it completes the watch for me.

I'd like to cite good taste as the commonality😉. I'm right there with you, the Gemini will definitely be my next Speedmaster... That said, I unfortunately have more pressing items that need to be saved up for and purchased coming up 🙁. So it will have to wait.

It's finding a nice one with box and papers that is not stupidly overpriced! I've seen one on the bay for $5000 I mean come on!

What is everyone thinking about the dials you can get for them. Like a standard 3570 like mine and switch the dials out? im a sucker for all original sutff but with the speedys im not sure it makes sense especially if im truly going to wear them. Thoughts?

Taking a modern speedy and hot roding it with an Omega dial is no harm no foul. Just be honest if you try to sell it. I'm thinking about building a racing dial or Mitsioka just looking for a good movement and case to do it.
