    Does anyone have any familiarity with this brand? I know many small Swiss manufacturers have dissolved or were acquired by larger companies. This one still seems to be in existence though I’m not sure if this company just uses the old namesake:

    Looks like some low end Swiss made for the Asia market at this point, at least all signs on the website point that way.

    Yours looks like a lower end piece from the late 60's to me... my bet is an AS movement inside.

    Mikrolisk indicates that several firms used the Genie name. But there is about a dozen listings for a firm by the name Emile Quartier that used the name. I suspect they were not a manufacturer, of watch movements in any event. Your watch is likely mid to late 1960s. One might wonder if the firm still exists.

    This was my father's watch which was gifted to him indeed in the 1960s as a wedding present. It never underwent a service and still surprisingly keeps accurate time/power. :eek:
