Genève or Geneve ?

Found this a few weeks ago, I have particular interest in these early ones with the italics that were just under the constellations at the time. This one has a manual cal 601 with date.

I have searched the web, but to no avail as to when these Genève turned to Geneve and when the transition happened.

The watch is particularly attractive to me, this one has a light patina and a two tone dial which plays with the light a bit. Also notice the full onyx inserts 🥰

The bezels on these are really interesting - they are 3 sided

I have a 2981, cal 491 from 1958 - with solid rose gold arrow head markers

Here's one formerly owned by Dennis, I really like the jumbo case and fat rose gold markers on this... 😉

The early manual-wind versions happen to be my favorite of all Omega models.

If you ever think of releasing these, please let me know. I need to complete the set 😜

Very nice guys. Also a fan of these earlier Geneves especially the jumbos.

Still have my automatic caliber 562 - the last of that style.
Still watching for it in the market hoping you may release it someday.😀
