Hi everyone,

I have the possibility to buy an Geneve 135.070 grey sunburst dial for about 900€.

Case in good condition, all original parts but little paint damage on the lumes and dials are worn out.
Do u think the price is justified?

Looks like an uncommon instance where a black dial is original but price is too high imo, particularly with the degraded dial. The Geneve is the entry level model and price should reflect that.

Also, is the service documented by a known watchmaker or is the seller just saying it’s serviced.

With no evidence to back it up, I assign precisely zero value to a seller saying a watch has been serviced. With documentation it depends who did the work, what they did and how easy you could send it back for a warranty issue.

It’s a sell directly from a watchmaker. He says it’s fully serviced. Seller is not respected store in the Netherlands (balancedwatches).

The deteriorating lume would bother me and, if the watchmaker has serviced the watch, I don’t understand why he hasn’t cleaned the stainless steel hands, which is a fairly easy fix. The price isn’t cheap and I’d pass.

Hands don't bother me, though I don't know why a watchmaker wouldn't spent 45 seconds and a polish pad just cleaning those up a little (and is that a hair around the pivot?!).

Case looks sharp and the movement looks nice. BUT those lume plots would be unacceptable to me.

In 'great' shape/good shape, this is probably a $500-650 watch at most. So $900 for this damage is way overpriced IMO.

That's most likely corrosion...very common on these vintage plated hands.
