Quince
·Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie here having inherited my dad's late 50's Seamster CK2849 which I'm loving. He also passed on to me a nice Rolex Oyster Perpetual from a similar era - I feel very lucky! The Omega looks to be in reasonable nick though it has a couple of spots of what looks corrosion on the face. As far as I know it's never been serviced so that's on my immediate list of things to do. In the meantime it needs a new gasket. The original has been nipped and bent when the back of the case was put on at some point so it's not providing any seal.
So, here is my query, is there a supplier (ideally in the UK) of new gaskets? I've done the round on eBay with little joy and note, as far as I can tell that Omega doesn't supply parts outside of their authorised service suppliers.
Any pointers will be gratefully received.
Many thanks,
Rob
