Gap between bezel and band on Speedmaster moonwatch sapphire

Hi everyone!

Roughly a month ago I finally bought my speedmaster at the boutique in Zurich. It’s my first luxury watch and I just love it! However, I started noticing a gap between the bezel and the band, which is also larger on the left side compared to the right. Is this normal? Do you think it is just due to manufacturing tolerances or should I get it checked?

It has been only a month since I bought it and I have been taking good care of it.

Welcome and congrats on buying a speedmaster!

It looks like it might be just how the light is reflecting on the case; can you take a photo of the bracelet from the underside of the watch?

(Also, happily, the band is not attached to the bezel (the black circle that says 'tachymètre') but to the lugs, where it fits nestled up against the case)

check that your springbar is properly inserted on that side and not bent.

A pic from the underside would go a long ways to working out if this is the case, but luckily thats a very simple fix and the boutique should be able to replace the springbar for you if it is damaged.

Thanks a lot for you answers! Here you can find a picture from the back, as well as a video. By applying a very gentle pressure the gap almost fully closes. It looks loose.

Ah okay, that looks like an issue with the spring-bar not fitting properly to me. The boutique in Zurich (or, if you're no longer nearby, any boutique) should be able to easily replace it for you in just a few minutes
