I wanted to share this watch with the forum. It's unique enough to be interesting, and exceedingly rare. I'm also hoping some may be able to share their thoughts and/or any information they may have on the watch. I spoke with DragonDan prior to purchase and am thankful for his kind, informative replies.

Most information available for this watch can be found here: http://www.galletworld.com/gallet_watch_multichron_officer.html

On this site Gallet states that this model was available by special order for military officers and that less than 100 orders were filled.

Gallet USA was kind enough to return a call and after a nice discussion I sent photos of the watch and they offered to publish it on their galletworld website. For me, this felt like a heartwarming honor for a rare watch.

The dial is an off-white or cream color and I have not found another example with telemetre/tachymeter scales.

The movement is a 10 1/2 ligne, 23.35mm Valjoux 69 movement. Less than 4000 movements were made in total.

very cool watch but keep in mind Gallet is known for it's "artistic license" 😁

Thanks all! I'm not sure about any artistic license Gallet may take with regards to their history, but these watches are undeniably rare.

I would LOVE to find some advertising which may support Gallet assertions, or, may support that Gallet might embellish.

No sold examples, no advertisement evidence, rare movement used, different dials on all examples I've seen, seems to support a special order, rare watch.

Thanks, the watch measures 27mm x 27mm w/o crown, and an 18mm lug width. The case is 37.5mm corner to corner, and the square shape allows for more surface area than a round watch with a similar diameter which makes this watch wear larger than it's dimensions.

To illustrate this I've taken this photo of the Officer next to a 34mm GP chronometer.

I also took a couple photos on my 7.5in wrist, and I think it wears nicely, even peeking out from under a cuff.
