Well, it sure made my evening a whole lot more enjoyable http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/real-gold...es_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item19f98cda7dPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network "basically if the gold was made into rings you could make about 4 big rings..." Why haven't anyone adopted that scale of measuring before?!?
At least its his Grandad's and not his Uncles...... you know how uncles are. And the gold is all over it..... not one of those spotty watches....
Jawa, 1977 350TS. Tragically, I bought it new, which makes me feel like such an old fart! Its all factory original paint and chrome. I took off the chrome tank panels and lined the tank and sidecovers myself. The original seat got shreaded by a cat so I had that redone. The tank sidepanels are safely stored away. It got me through my college years and was ruthlessly street raced against the Yamahas and Suzukis of the era (and lost most every time) However, it won everybody's respect by going over 50,000km without a major service during an era when we were dropping crankshafts into the Japanese stuff about ever 10,000. The picture is only 2 or 3 years old, she's now a retired garage queen which only comes out on special occations to be waxed. Thats when it not hiding in the television room.....
