Tri-national-man
·Reluctant sale of my Breitling 765 AVI dating from 1965. This is the reverse panda with small minute subdials version.. One of around 1800 ever produced (watchfred). This one in stunning condition and recently serviced by Simon Freese. Charcoal dial with patina to die for. The “modified” Venus cal 178 movement is in stunning condition and keeping excellent time. It has USA import mark “WOG”. A very rare vintage Breitling chronograph in this condition (one of the best available imo)

Crystal
Apparently a service crystal (as appraised by #watchfred) but in excellent condition with no cracks or visible scratches (Simon Freese polished a scratch out as advised by me)
Case
The case is in very good order with ultra sharp transition lines and bevels with what look like original polished and brushed finishings, case doesn’t seem to have ever been polished or heavily refinished, there are very fine marks and a few very minor dints as expected from a 56 year old watch. Pushers are original and start stop and reset the chronograph perfectly as they should.
Case back
Screw down case back has all stamps ultra clear and non polished out. There are a couple of service marks on inside of case back.
Dial
Original tritium dial, has never been relumed but has some tritium material wearing thin in a couple of places, mainly the 15 minute subdial. The tritium dust was deposited in a few places on the charcoal dial and I had Simon Freese clean this up. The black portion of the dial is in absolutely excellent condition with no marks or scratches that the naked eye can see.
Hands
Original tritium hands in excellent condition
Movement
The Venus 178 movement is stunningly bright and clean, running strong and keeping excellent time as it recently had a complete strip down, clean, service and was regulated by vintage chronograph specialist watchmaker Simon Freese.
