People seem to really like vintage watches here so I though this might go over well as it is a vintage homage to the Paul Newman Daytona.

Gevril is a company of watch lovers. In the 1990s they decided they loved the Paul Newman Rolex Daytona so much that they wanted to make a replica as close as humanly possible so that they could wear it without fear of hurting their watch..thus this watch was born as a limited edition of 500 pieces. The proportions of this watch are EXACTLY the same as Rolex. Veteran vintage Rolex dealer Eric Ku once pointed out that the pushers and bezel are interchangeable with the real Rolex Paul Newman. It has the exact same size case (37mm)....etc...etc...I'll link a review and you can see why this watch has such a cult following.

Oh yeah......you expect it to have a valjoux 7750 or something? NOPE, It has the same movement as the previous generation royal oak chronograph!!! ETA 2824 with a Dubois & Dépraz 2020 chronograph module!

Condition is mint and running very well.

Unintentional bump, but I’d be interested to know where this watch falls on the homage / allowable spectrum....

 

I figured it would be ok as this is a homage to a largely unobtainable vintage wristwatch. It is not imitating a modern piece. A Paul Newman these days can cost a half million dollars and this watch has a cult following as the next best thing. It seems kind of silly not to allow that for sale. But ultimately it is up to the moderators. Sorry about the bump.
