Hello all, This is my second sales listing. The feedback from my first is in the link below: https://omegaforums.net/threads/wonderful-transaction-with-rumar89.60391/ I've got several watches incoming so this Longines Flagship has to go. I purchased this from the departed squirrel, Ulackfocus, sometime in January. For those who don't know, before he left the forum Ulackfocus was one of our resident Longines experts. When purchased it was not running, but after a service by my watchmaker is now keeping excellent time. On to the photos: The dial, with sunburst texture from the date at 3, is in excellent condition. The 14k gold case, manufactured in the U.S. by the Star Watch Co. (a common practice to avoid tariffs) is also in great condition. And the beating heart: a manual wind, in-house caliber 285 serviced within the last 6 months. A great movement from Longines' heyday, the 285 is probably second only to the 30L among the company's hand winders from the period. According to the Longines archives, this particular 285 was invoiced to Longines-Wittnauer on January 18, 1968. I hate to let this go, but with the new guys coming in, I need to free up some funds and with my 18k 30L, it doesn't get the wrist time it deserves anyway. I'm asking $675 shipped to the CONUS, which between the original purchase cost and the service is what I have into it. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions!
