·The folks who made it to Time 4A Pint on Tuesday may have seen this little Omega in person, but for everyone else, this is a freshly landed (and no longer filthy) CK2111 produced in 1939.
A Journey Through Time lists this as a Naiad model, which I understand would have had a lead gasket between the screw down case back and the case (with matching 185 case number), to comportment its “waterproof” crown, keeping the currently non-running 23.4sc movement dry.
I think the dial of this one is quite interesting - this is one of only a very few Roman numeral dials that I’ve been able to find in this reference, and on top of that, the numerals and minute track are gilded (if somewhat tarnished/filthy)!
A fun pickup from the bottom of the (e)Bay - good untouched interesting stuff is still out there!
