Looking for a 2005-2010 (for tax reasons ) 4 seater convertible with some cudos and drivers appeal. BMW ruled out due to gangsta image and Porsche 996/997 require amputation of my children's feet which my better half may strongly oppose.
Mercedes too soft, as is most other I find.
Anyone had a go at the Jaguar XKR?
Kind of like the 2006- models.
Not anywhere close to the hardcore approach of my current Lotus Elise R but better space for a family of four....

XKR is a rocket ship in a straight line - and a whole lot of fun when it comes to the corners. Good choice.

When I drive down to the shops for milk a bit in the BMW I'm going to put Tupac on and enjoy being a Norwegian Gangsta :D

I guess it is a local thing. I do admire the BMW convertibles but around here some wrong groups of people are not helping the image. Sad actually!

If it only drove as good as it looks;-)
Afraid the change from a Lotus to that would be a tad too much :p!

Perfect as long as no one in your family is likely to get sea-sick. GM's version of a Land Yacht ;-)

88-911. It has been sitting in my garage for the last few years under a cover, as commute duties got taken over by a sedan. Should drive it around more.

Beautiful colour combination and wheels, is that one of those final 3.2 Carreras before the 964 came in?

Yes. There was an 89 Carrera before the 964, i think the only difference was blinking inside door locks when the alarm was on.

Nice '89 Carrera, alfanator. Looks like you gave me an excuse to post a photo of my '87 911
