I like mine dirty 馃榾

Location: Ericksen Dry Lake, Mojave Desert, California

This was an early Pandemic purchase, during that short period of time when shoppers stopped coming to dealerships, factories closed down, and car companies freaked out in response. I had put this particular Wrangler on a watch list just a couple of weeks before the Pandemic's arrival, and later noticed a sudden price drop to nearly 10% below MSRP. For a Jeep Wrangler, this almost unheard of. I rushed to the dealership the day I got the price change notice. The rest is, as they say, history.

This is not my first Jeep but it is my first Wrangler. Owning one has been a dream since my youth. It is also, almost certainly, the last internal combustion engine vehicle I will buy in my lifetime, and I plan to keep driving it until I'm physically and/or mentally incapable of driving a motor vehicle.

Love a Wrangler as does Mrs. Darlinboy 馃グ. Her DD for years was a white/tan Sahara with a stick. She finally gave it up when the kids came along. It was her first manual vehicle, and while I take take credit for teaching her how to drive it, she claims all I did was yell at her. 馃槜

Love that Wrangler! Great shot @Jones in LA !
I never had the Wrangler on my radar but on our 2019 holiday trip we had one as a rental and totally loved it.
Since then I am thinking of getting one but I am not sure if the feeling will be the same here in good old Germany... 馃憥

Looks like you had an awesome holiday! There are a surprising number of Wrangler owners in the EU...you ought to look into being one yourself 馃榾

Yes it was an awesome holiday, we drove a lot, saw amazing places and had a really great time. I really miss it. LA was also very cool, it was the start and end of our tour 馃榾
What engine do you have in that Rubicon @Jones in LA ?
In the EU we only get the four cylinders... I will get my new car next week but in one or two years I might seriously look into getting a Wrangler 馃榾

Here the love story started, first morning in Venice:

Every guy who grew up watching Rat Patrol on TV has always, deep down, wanted a Jeep. Maybe not with mounted 50 caliber machine guns, but then again, maybe...

I worked for Chrysler Jeep Imports UK, '93-'96, for the reintroduction of the Jeep brand to the UK and greatly enjoyed the YJs - initially, we distributed only Wranglers and the XJ Cherokees. This one is the prototype RHD conversion:

That's one of my ultimate grail cars, along with the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta.[/QUOTE

The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta is an epic car, even for a Ferrari. Just be aware of the costs to maintain one. Still definitely worth the experience to own one.

Rat Patrol may have been my absolute favorite TV program as a boy. That could explain the lifelong love of Jeeps. Thanks for the memory @RI Omega Fan 馃榾

Our Wrangler is powered by a 4cyl. 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine, with a mild hybrid system called e-Torque. It鈥檚 my understanding that 4 cyl. Diesel engines have been available for Wranglers in Europe for a long time, well before Diesel (6 cyl) became available in North America.

More dirty pics for a Friday 馃榾

I know that much of the rest of North America has been dumped on a lot recently, but to find snow in Southern California you have to go pretty far and pretty high...

Yes, from pictures I never cared about it and found it very odd. In reality it then appealed somehow to me 馃榿

FIL got his 308 delivered the other night. Yes, he bought a fake mustache and floral shirt so he can look like Tom Selleck in Magnum PI. Haven鈥檛 seen the car in person yet, but looking forward to checking it out this weekend.

LOL, that's great!

I was driving home earlier this week and passed a 308 on the highway. We forget that it's really a tiny car by today's standards. I was in a BMW 5 series and felt like I could just run him over.

Also a really slow car by today's standards I image lol. We'll see I guess.
He's a tall dude too if you can't tell. His daily is a Shelby GT350 and the drivers seat touches the rear seat with the way he has it adjusted lol.
Not that the back seat in that car is usable anyway.
