The second place #7 Toyota TS050 in Park Ferme after the 2018 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. These LMP1 cars look like spaceships

And here's the display model Porsche 911 RSR in the Pink Pig livery.

Do not pet the pig!

24 hours of pure filth.
I love it.
Actually one of my favorite parts of 24 hours of Daytona and LeMans is at first light, during sunrise, when you can see all of the damage and track grime that has accumulated on the cars over night.

Completely agree with you there.

Daytona is on my must do one day list. As is Sebring.

I have been to both Daytona and Sebring and they are definitely an experience.
Would recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 1991 24 hrs of Daytona. Two Joest Porsche’s, Andretti vs Unser feud, flying fossil and so much more. All Porsche’s should look this good.

Some looked even better. 😀

The championship-winning Rothmans Porsche 956 of Stefan Bellof and Derek Bell on their way to victory in the Sandown 1000, final round of the 1984 World Endurance Championship. (My buddies and I were working trackside vehicle recovery.)

Hah imagine just cruising down the road now and getting passed by an LMP1 car.
That would just be awesome.
Sort of like this old Red Bull promo vid. for the F1 race in NYC/NJ that was going to, but never happened...

I know I'm getting old since I saw these race in 1984!

I think David Coulthard has probably the coolest job in F1 these days, driving the Red Bull show car all around the world. I got an (all too brief) chance to chat with him in November 2011 when he was in town shooting the similar promo for the inaugural US F1 GP at COTA. Though he does lose some cool points for not wearing an Omega.

Dinner with car buddies tonight, and I managed to prise the P-car Keys from the missus’ grasp, so there was only one thing to wear.
