Edit: if Tudor made the BB58 in bronze with a blue dial & bezel at 39mm that would be a winner

no blue dial but at least they fixed the bracelet. That’s why I had to get rid of my original BB58. It’s was either too big or too small

It's the day before Freaky Friday but maybe this will inspire you to get your freak on tomorrow.

Great thread. Has me thinking about my "hole snipe" days; my fingers are twitching, thinking about the can of Never-Dull.

That's a risk. Got to fight the feeling. This is good therapy for any compulsive behavior, particularly for cleanliness tendencies.

Any ideas and experiments on removing bronze patina? In case at some point I'd like to restore the watch "new" look?

I haven't tried it but the internet says it cleans up nicely. I think i read lemon juice works.

Any one else dealt with bringing bronze back to original?

Rolf Studer (Oris CEO) latest post.

I think it looks fabulous…take it to the Ocean Dave!

Now that looks authentic. Just like a turnbuckle on a trawler in North Altantic. Doesn't get any brassier than that. 😀

Man! Now I want a brass watch.

I got this revelot about 2 years ago. Cusn8 bronze but I don't think it has as much coating as my Hamilton as it's going towards a nice matte brown.
