...which would it be? I went to the AD (again) to try on the Speedy Pro / moonwatch and vs the FOIS... I begin to feel the Speedy Pro looks better on my 7 inch wrist. Granted, the bracelet makes it a tad larger, but i'm looking to wear it on a nato or leather strap.
I would wait for the 50th anniversary Apollo 11 #SpeedyPro chronograph expected at Baselworld 2019... At least if Omega continues the neo-vintage trend of producing great looking chronos such as the Baselworld 2017 Sea- Rail- & Speedmaster trio...
If I could have any modern Speedy I wanted it would be the Italian Albino. If you're asking between the Pro and the FOIS I would take the Pro personally, especially if you plan to wear it on NATO as you suggest, the Pro wears great on those.
I like my modern co-axial Speedmaster. The date window is one key for me. I also prefer the larger sizes so this is the one for me.
I agree with others. Speedy Pro. My first Omega was a Speedy Pro. If I had to pick one I'd do that one. Iconic. Horological significance. The entire connection to humans engaging in beginning space travel. It will always have value and looks good with a NATO, leather or with the metal bracelet so it wears with many things.
Considering I have a few vintage speedy pro's.... If I could locate one it would definitely be the 3570.40 for me, but alas can't find one, so a tintin may have to suffice for me soon.
As my only watch, I'd want a date and good WR, so I'd probably pick the outgoing Speedy Racing. It is also nice and compact with a somewhat interesting movement.
Hands down if only one, this is the ONE. Also known as the best Limited Edition Speedmaster ever made
The only one i've ever tried that just popped for me was TinTin, and I have it. The others I would want to consider: 60th Anniversary (will get here eventually) Japan Racing
Well I have not seen the speedytuesday in the flesh but after many years resisting I decided I wanted a speedmaster so went for this one. I was thinking about a vintage model, but didn't really want a brand-new one. This one has the nice colour lume and is otherwise a normal speedy. The Apollo 11 20th anniversary hits the sweet spot for me.
