    Dear members,

When a stainless steel 167.005 case houses a dial with gold hour markers and gold hands is it it then per se a franken watch or did Omega originally produced such combinations?

    How knows?

    Thanks,
    Bo

I see some genuine examples on the web with gold markers and hands. So yes, they exist.

I’ve actually seen more from the 50’s/early 60’s with gold markers/hands- stainless cases than all stainless, seems that was a far more popular combo. Don’t forget, gold on a watch was considered an upsell until the last 25 years.
