"1966 vintage Omega constellation in fantastic condition". Dog's breakfast of a non-chronometer movement, refinished dial, polished case and replacement crown. He doesn't even get the movement date right. What a pity for someone that this is up to nearly £900 with 12 hours to go. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1966-Vin...m=263931116928&_trksid=p2047675.c100012.m1985Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I think I’m with you on this one. Dial definitely shonky. And whilst the lugs have facets they’re just not ‘right’
I love the way whoever put this together must have thought "Oooooh - the "T" before and after the "Swiss Made" will make it look even more authentic" Not without some evidence of lume on the dial or hands it doesn't
Seeing this I decided to ask seller about no lume. His response: Sorry for my ignorance if you can explane me i can learn also ,i am not a watch dealer i am just saling my collection to get new ones sorry
Just look at the logo The flat surface of the rear of the lugs and the way that the "hips" of the lugs extend over the case side is what seals it for me. The bezel has a slope to it rather than being flat too.
I think could be affected to go a little deep on this matter. Fake Vintage Omegas (not moon)? First time I heard about...
The seller has messaged me 3 times already. Latest reply: Why is there a rule says that every swis watch has to have lume i have never hear that If you look carefully this one has 2 t one in the end also, i think it has to have one t only to have lume
The OP thought it was a Frankenwatch ie put together from parts. But this is a fake watch. To be fair - the case is one of the better ones as it approximates the right design but still not correct.
Fake, as in non-Omega made dial and case. Movement looks to be a frankenwatch withnprts from several different watches. Hope this helps, gatorcpa
Ok. When I think fake anything, I think of a factory somewhere in the world making a complete fake from scratch with nothing original.
Fake Connies tend have a non-chronometer Omega movt in them to fool the buyer that they’re getting the real deal. But the dial and case is fake.
Reported and removed. This is actually the second time it's been removed, I reported it last week as well.
