Hi all,

I found this Breitling Chronomat for sale at 700€, I am not a Breitling specialist. I can't find if this is gold or gold plated. The Breitling crown and the back are missing. It is not working well and one of the lug is broken. There is a lot of work to be done on this watch but maybe it is worth. Sorry by advance for the low quality picture.
Thank you!

$700 is a heck of a lot for that. It sounds like the case needs serious work to fix the lug and a missing case back is going to be VERY difficult to track down, probably prohibitively expensive.

The photo isn't good at all, but I see a few things that make me suspicious this is a dial that has had some degradation and maybe some repainting (a completely blank minute totalizer is... special).

I'll bet this is just a Venus powered Breitling, even in perfect shape, you're looking at a max of $3k value. Throw in that it needs either a new case, or a laser welding (at least $500), a case back (doubtful you'll find one, but I'd expect to pay $500-$600 MINIMUM), plus a service ($1000 minimum, PLUS parts... guessing it'll need at least a few hundred in parts), you're looking at spending more than $2000 to get this to a sellable condition. BUT all of that assumes it has a nice, original dial, otherwise that $3k value is 1/10th of that.

Thanks a lot for your opinion and advice! Appreciate it

At best redialed premier with venus 175 inside, oxidation (if thats what it is on the right lugs close to the case) tells it could be an 18k case
