Incredibly hard to find in such stellar condition overall but I don't think the seconds hand and crown came like that originally. I do think 5k euro is reasonable.

A 18 k Gold Omega from the 40‘s all original price over € 5000,- is this ok ?

I'm ok with the seconds hand and asking price. Crown is a replacement but not much of an issue. The anchor might be an issue.

I'm not an expert with this model, but could this be a redial? The base finishing consisting of only vertical brushing doesn't seem to match up with the variants of this model I've seen. If someone knows for sure, I'd quite like to know myself, as getting one of these 30t2rg pieces is on my to-do list.

Why doesn't it say chronometre on the movement?

That woud be identified in the caliber stamp under the balance.

Dial looks refinished and pallet fork is not original

I don't think the price is that great. There's one on Ebay at $1890 in 18kt. Not perfect, but still looks nice

33 mm case size

Highest completed Ebay auction price was $3946 Couple of movement spots

The balance seems not to be original. Should have a cut bimetallic balance.

The question you asked was which year - you need to look at the hallmark as you can date it from there

This watch has several issues:

wrong balance
wrong pallet fork
wrong driving wheel over 3rd wheel
one case screw snapped off with the remnance still in the plate
wrong centre second hand
wrong crown
the case has been heavily worked on

I am undecided about the dial:
Pro:
The prints are very crisp and a dial restorer would be hard pressed to achieve this kinda result.
The fact that it is not dual-tone (but with only one sanding direction) does not bother me too much - these dials are rarely seen but they do exist.
The applied numerals sit very even and none of them is tilted as often seen when they have been re-applied after a prior restoration process.
I would like to see this dial under my 10x loupe before I dismiss it as a re-dial as it is often really hard to make an assessment only going by photos.
And I would like to see the back of the dial.
Nice original box which is not cheap

The cons: the sanding looks a bit rough and the colour is a bit too grey for my taste (and experience) hence my hesitation... Colour looks brighter in the additional chrono24 photos
I would say the odds are 50:50 concerning the dial

You guys are super harsh on an 80 year old :whipped:

@DON I'm sorry but I personally wouldn't gauge the watch you mention on Ebay against the watch OP posted..

Yeah, that one is a definite redial (even stated by the seller!). I'm with Erich on the OP's, as it looks likely original to my eye.
