Found it fun without a date or a brand.

Gee, maybe I can claim the oldest no-date wristwatch, my circa 1910 Ω:
Depends on how you define that. Here's a 1904 Longines with a contemporary American made case:

However, I believe it unlikely that the case and movement started out life together. Conversion was probably done in the 1920's.

There are many, many no-date watches in the collection. I'll stick to one per brand.

From B to Z. I guess I really need to find an "A" brand watch. 😜

Great to see a few brands that were not on my radar before.

A bit much patina, but I still like the whole thing (must put it in the fixer queue).

Can't leave this one out, one of my first decent Omegas.

How cool are those Lugs. This would have to be a candidate for sending in for factory restoring.

Will have to think about that, it's too beautiful to let it rot away.

Having a mix of old, new and several types of watches I thought I needed a theme for a while.

After purchasing a few watches without a date complication I kinda fell into my latest theme.

Mixed brand non date theme.

Started with a IWC and a Connie

Then found a Doxa ( from a Scotsman )

With a trip to Europe and a chance to pick this up after a couple of pre arranged GTG,s

Then I get a PM from our favourite Scotsman that's onto my little theme....

Next was something in gold that caught my eye that came with a friend

Then a dibs from a few months ago caught up and was pleasantly surprised not a date to be seen...

Finally something that popped up only over the weekend that I am really looking forward to

Have bought a few others over time outside of this theme but am enjoying my

Mixed brand non date direction.

Not ashamed to admit I had to google Doxa. I assume that is a vintage from before going under and the name being bought?

D@mn beautiful watch in the midst of a great collection.
I was all about day and day/date watches until I had to start setting dates every few days.

Is it only me that finds it very amusing to find a no-date watch having date windows all over the dial - in this thread?

More like "hour" windows, but I get the point.

That's why I put it there! 😉

I really prefer a non date dial myself. When I was younger, dates were cool, now as I age my views have changed. The lack of a date wheel just seems "right" to me. No clutter, nice classic look. And thanks for all the pictures. Had to go down and "like" them all. First time I've done that here. Also thanks for showing those Bulovas, had an aunt that worked there for many, many years. Bulova was also my first proper Swiss Made watch, and Accutron Automatic. I'll update this later with some photos of mine.

Need my glasses to see the date on most of my watches anyway these days......

I'm starting to know what you mean about needing the glasses. Sometimes I can't see that little thing. I'm liking the ALS big date models. I just can't drop 25k for a big date. I need the date too, though. Some days I check the date 10 times before lunch... I guess I'm forgetful too.

MMMmmmmm, I really like that square Omega. I was thinking yesterday that I might need a square-cased watch. I've noticed them a lot on TV lately. How old is that?

Square case is an automatic cal 571 ref 3999-61. About 1962-63 I guess.
