Found it fun without a date or a brand.

Having a mix of old, new and several types of watches I thought I needed a theme for a while.

After purchasing a few watches without a date complication I kinda fell into my latest theme.

Mixed brand non date theme.

Started with a IWC and a Connie

Inherited from a older relative given to me recently and serviced by Al

Then found a Doxa ( from a Scotsman )

With a trip to Europe and a chance to pick this up after a couple of pre arranged GTG,s

Then I get a PM from our favourite Scotsman that's onto my little theme....

Next was something in gold that caught my eye that came with a friend

Then a dibs from a few months ago caught up and was pleasantly surprised not a date to be seen...

Finally something that popped up only over the weekend that I am really looking forward to

A GP gyromatic 39 jeweled

Longines 8888

Another black dial. Enjoying the lugs and funky markers on this one! ( crap photo and dusty as it is a quite clear dial )

Hard to resist this one

Latest catch

Have bought a few others over time outside of this theme but am enjoying my

Mixed brand non date direction.

I really wish you hadn't posted anything!

After seeing all of the examples here there will be an OmegaForums bump (much more dangerous than a Hodinkee bump) and people will be trying to emulate the direction you've chosen.

I thought my appreciation for non-date models was shared by all but a few, how wrong I was.

I'll try to post some of my favorites tomorrow.

Cheers

Jim.

I usually go for watches with date but since now I can't see the date without a "snot blob" I am really considering going "date-less".

Most of my watches are of the 'non-date' variety (don't like setting them), so I thought I'd post my first:
Which was given to me when I was 10 years old...

I am appreciating non date watches too. When I started I was a day & date guy. I still am but they are pretty needy. Especially if one is mildly OCD like moi. I cannot wear a watch with the wrong date or day.

Here's a few of my favorite simples:

You guys are killing me! This is my latest thing too, no date. Thinking of Longines Heritage Conquest LE 35 mm, if I can find one and OP 36 mm blue face.

A couple of my favourite non dates non chronos

Hi

Nice Zenith cal 135 , screwback right ?captain case! Should be 36.5 mm in diameter not counting lugs or crown ... It's an uncommon model I think 250 produced . It's hard to tell from photos what color of hands and numbers ? I have an example with pink gold hands and numbers .... Yours looks like silver ... Very cool !

Thanks Bill, right you are! Silver 36.5mm, wears much larger thanks to the rabbit ears lugs! More pics here : https://omegaforums.net/threads/all-for-one-and-one-for-all.30727/

I mixed it up with my brand of choice and these are my only no date watches. Glad to finally see a post with no Speedmasters 😀
