That’s the other thing isn’t it, a service. I suppose that would be taking it more towards the £4000 mark a little further down the line. Lots of things to think about! Only issue with buying privately is not being able to pay on credit card, which I think is a necessity for me atm. The price rise affecting all markets is in the back of my mind also.
And if Dominic Hackett can do it for just over £4k brand new, that's a pretty convincing argument... Sorry, i'm not helping!

Don’t 🤦 The more I think about it, the more I’m tempted. Or I could just put the money towards a mortgage...

Hi @Hamish02, hope you're well? Did you take the plunge on a 300MC in the end?

Good thanks but still hunting. Basically decided I would go used <£3000 or new ~£4000. I was umming & ahing before I eventually decided to go with Dominic Hackett but missed the boat as Omega raised their prices. I’ve made ‘wanted’ post on here and will see what comes of it!

So, I’ve managed to get my hands on one! Bought off a member of this forum who was very helpful during the process.

Its second hand and from 2016 but in great condition. I spent £3000 in the end with full box & papers.

Obligatory photo to follow - thanks to all on here who commented and advised along the way 😀

Congratulations! After a close call missing out on a Spectre version, I'm thinking of hunting one of those myself. Maybe the titanium blue one depending on price. Wear it in good health bro.

I'm biased, but I do love the titanium blue. Was of two minds when I got mine, but the blue looks completely different depending on the light - lovely rich blue in sunlight, and practically black indoors.

Nice! I'm really leaning that way. I know if sacrilege but I wonder if I could just source a lollipop hand from omega and pop it on a standard 300. Save myself $4K and be done with it. 😀

Hah - sacrilege indeed, though I'm sure I've seen someone has done that in another thread on here, with stainless steel, not the titanium. How much would do the lollipop hands go for, and what would it be costing you to have them swapped out?? Of the features on the Spectre 300MC, it was the absence of the PCL that appealed to me but i'm really pleased to say I like the PCL - to me, they're not showy in the flesh.
