This one almost got away. Lucky for me, the first buyer backed out at the last minute and I ended up owning this vintage Omega Seamaster 166.024 with the civilian model "big triangle" dial. The watch needs some TLC. The glass and screw down crown needs replacement. The movement needs overhauling because it is running late by 10 minutes per hour. The dial is very clean with even patina on the hour markers and the bezel is in very good condition for its age. The case back shows the it was stamped 165.024 initially and was crossed out by the factory and the reference 166.024, stamped below it. The cal. 565 movement serial number is in the 28 mil range which dates it to 1969. I took some pictures (shown below) before I sent it to my watchmaker for a spa treatment.
