·I'm not really seeing anything particularly appealing about the design. Just a very generic looking, plain-Jane watch IMO.

How old where they? And my point was more they are not investment vehicles. Some people expect a 4-500$ small batch to go through the roof.
we are coming at this from different viewpoints. I’m talking about short term resale with the aim being someone can purchase one and if they don’t like it, they can flip it and not cost themselves much, if any, money. Therefore the risk associated with trying the brand/watch is low.
long term resale really depends on the success of the company I suppose. In 5 years if they do very well, these early, limited runs will probably be sought after. If they fail, not so much.
I like these these type of watches for everyday wear and parts availability won't be an issue in our lifetime. With company's like the swatch group limiting parts availability to independent repairers there is a lot to be said for easily repairable pieces.
Ah, one of the main parts supplier in the UK is Cousins and they often have parts that marked obsolete or restricted by manufacturer. That's why I made the remark. I wasn't aware that things had changed.
A good looking, unpretentious everyday watch that should perform well IMO. No more. No less. The asking price is somewhat reasonable and might be debatable but then again, when you look at the other side of the spectrum, some are willing to pay triple retail for a brand new luxury sports watch.
