What do folks think of the Fortis watches? Just bought one. Unusual as a GMT Chronograph and Chronometer. 7750 movement, modified I would guess. It was the size I like and all of the options I wanted. Never have had a Fortis before. Seems they have been around for a long time Gervil group?

I probably own a half dozen Fortis watches, They are solidly built. Their case finish holds up particularly well over time. I don't get the sense the company does much to the movements they use. Mine have always run better than new after being serviced.

This one seems a bit off the normal for a Fortis, 598.10.11M GMT with a COSC Chronometer rating. SS bracelet as well. Looking around the web don't find much info on this model. Is it one of the rarer models?

Well I was going to say it's an ETA 7754 that has a 24 hour hand, but that is a central hand and this is at 3. In my experience Fortis is a decent watch.

The fourth dial is a bit unusual a 7750C type?

Will have to wait until I receive the watch, the only thing that has me wondering is the COSC certificate, Official Cosmonaut GMT.. It is a Flieger, or pilot watch, the cosmonauts have a bezel. The fliegers do not. Paid $860 which I thought was a good price for what the watch is. Well below what many other brands would be with the same options.

I owned a Fortis Spacematic and a B52 and both are great watches. They are not as popular as the top brands but they are nice watches.

I have the watch in hand, and am pleased with it. Setting is a bit different from what I thought it would be. 3 position crown, winding, 2A, 2B, and 3. Three sets the main hands, 2A the hour hand and 2B the date. So to set the GMT hand one uses the 3 position to set the GMT hour and minutes then 2A to set the hour hand to local time. Not like the 7750 in my Breitling Chronomat. Watch also is thicker than the Breitling must be another level of movement added for the fourth GMT dial.
