JB CHAMPION U.S.A. NASA BRACELET and NASA HOOK AND LOOP STRAP
worn by the crew of a SR71 spy plane with Prince Charles

The SR-71 Blackbird had a two-man crew consisting of a Pilot in the front seat and a Reconnaissance Systems Officer (RSO) in the rear seat.

Pilot:

Responsible for flying the aircraft, managing the engines, and navigation.

RSO:
Responsible for operating the complex reconnaissance sensors, cameras, and electronic surveillance systems, as well as managing defensive countermeasures. The RSO also acted as the mission commander.

Cockpit panel-mounted clocks -

A12
and SR71 cockpits housed Accutron movements T10 or 214-based instrument clocks that were wired directly into the aircraft's power system and designed for instrument panel integration

The Caliber 214 architecture was the standard for both personal and instrument timing in the A-12/SR-71 programs (as well as NASA's Gemini and Apollo missions), the 214HN designation applies exclusively to the Accutron Astronaut GMT wristwatches issued to pilots.

The CIA officially issued the Bulova Accutron Astronaut caliber 214HN to A-12 pilots because its unique tuning fork movement Caliber 214HN could withstand the extreme G-forces and high temperatures generated by the aircraft's Mach 3+ flight, conditions that caused traditional mechanical watches with balance springs to fail or become inaccurate.

Specific Model - 1966 (M6) production run

The 214HN movement denotes the "Hacking" feature and was used exclusively in American-made Astronaut models. The 1966 batch was part of the generation issued to A-12 pilots and later SR-71 Blackbird pilots.

FORSTNER BRACELET MARKETING EXAGGERATIONS / MISREPRESENTATIONS

The modern Forstner company (revived ~2019) had no role in these historical missions.

Forstner's eventual role in the moon missions

The original Forstner Chain Corporation ceased to exist as an independent entity after being acquired by Jacoby Bender in 1963. The bracelets used during the Gemini, Apollo, and Moon missions (post-1963) were manufactured and engineered by Jacoby Bender (branded as JB Champion), not Forstner.

Our Komfit bracelet was routinely paired.

The use of "our" implies the modern Forstner brand produced the bracelets used in the Mercury missions alongside the Astronaut. While Wally Schirra wore a vintage Forstner Komfit in 1962 (privately purchased), the bracelets used by NASA and astronauts from 1963 onwards were the JB Champion versions.

"Forstner's successor... Jacoby Bender ('JB,' now owned by Forstner)"
Forstner LLC does not own the historical Jacoby Bender company. Jacoby Bender went bankrupt in the 1980s. The modern company is a separate entity that has revived the name Forstner and registered a new "JB" trademark, but it is not the legal successor to Jacoby Bender INC. U S A the original corporation.

Trademark Distinction:

While Forstner LLC holds a new trademark for the "JB" logo (Registration No. 6014888, registered in 2020), this is a fresh registration. It does not grant ownership of the original JB Champion brand, whose trademark expired in 1984 and was never renewed. Consequently, the modern brand is not the legal successor to the original corporation's achievements or contracts.

BELOW proof of falsity of ownership claim

The claim "now owned by" is a specific, verifiable fact that is false. The false lineage directly influences purchasing decisions.

This statement creates a false narrative of corporate continuity to misappropriate the historical reputation of Jacoby-Bender.

You can copy the design, but you cannot lie about the history.
The Bullet bracelet was created by the now-defunct Jacoby-Bender, Inc. in the 1960s. Modern Forstner LLC produces reproductions of this historic design.

Any marketing claim stating "Jacoby-Bender is now owned by Forstner" is false. Forstner LLC owns the Forstner name and a new "JB" logo, but they have no legal or corporate ownership of the original JB Champion USA, it's original company logo JB, or Jacoby-Bender, Inc.
