LOL Hamilton must have broken his floor on the warmup lap. Bottas kicked his ass from the very start.

A very well written article. On a similar note, did anyone else notice the increased (or perhaps simply more visible in the weather conditions) rear vortices that all the cars were creating?
Agreed, very good article. It'll be interesting to see later in the season when Mercedes in-season development takes off and Ferrari tends to falter.

I thought the rear vortices had more to do with the new rear wing endplates and not the weather..

I do like seeing Bottas get some

Maybe I just don't like seeing the favourite win every time.

Psyched to have the season underway either way.

I think its shaping up to be an interesting season. I enjoyed the Netflix series, and it adds a bit of extra interest to the Renault v Honda battle.

Positives so far for me are

Le Clerc looks confident, could have been different if he had wiped out Vettel in the first corner though!
Red Bull look equally quick with Honda
Hulkenburg gets a good yard stick in the form of Ricardo
Great to see Bottas pull his finger out, I hope he can make the battle with HAM a bit closer than last year. Ocon must be praying otherwise.
It will be interesting to see how such a youthful Mclaren team works out

I have lost my respect for Perez, so I will be keen to see how he behaves when he no longer has the financial advantage in the team.
I hope Renault can make huge inroads in performance. It would be a shame to waste a talent like Ricardo. I don't think he could really stay where he was, Red Bull was getting toxic for him, but I would have loved to see him at Ferrari instead.

I agree that there's no way Ricciardo could stay at RB. They've pretty much threw all their support behind Max and he could do no wrong in Horner and Marko's eyes. The whole running from a fight thing to me is dumb when it isn't a fair fight.

It was exactly like Webber/Vettel a few years ago. Then Vettal was the golden boy. What’s Horner got against Australians?

Coming into a F1 weekend, here’s a flashback to some real racing by the GOAT (begin debate here 😗)

Alonso is the goat for me ::stirthepot::

I'm gonna miss Alonso. Wish he'd had a better ride the last few years.

I’m still hopeful for Indy 500 and endurance racing has definitely treated him well at least but it feels a bit empty not having a legend like that in F1 anymore

Ha, thought that might stir things up 😁.

It would have been great to see them race against each other (in equal cars).

I know Alonso is a great driver, but GOAT? Hamilton put manners on him in his rookie season out qualified him and out raced him.

His attitude stinks and that cost him getting a good drive anywhere.

Not a team player or much of a sportsman. These can be over looked but he just is not the complete package so missed out on a lot of success.

Not worse then Hamilton. Both matured, one more convincingly then the other.
