STR and RBR are making a similar move as HAAS and Ferrari, sharing engine gearbox and suspension.
Information from testing Aero changes wouldn’t work though. The cars are too different and handle completely differently.

So your saying the double diffuser didn’t work on other cars? Or the T wing?

I am saying these parts are not transferable. Like fiting the front door of a Ford on a BMW because they both have front doors.

I agreed with that. What I’m saying is they test new aero ideas on the jr team sometimes.

You seem to think it’s just a coincidence that only the 3 Ferrari teams have any aero devices there. Whereas I think the jr teams share data. I also feel the main Ferrari jr team was Haas and will become Alfa with Kimi a known excellent development driver is a signal that Alfa is now the more preferred team. Even Seb admits Kimi was the better development driver. Seb said ill miss Kimi as a partner as when I got lost in setup I could always revert to Kimi’s setup.

It is interesting to look at the relationship between the teams and the car technologies. It is not something I have paid any attention to before

I'm very curious how Kubica will perform in Williams car after his big come back to F1. Definitely not fighting for the podium, but would be happy if the new car will allow him to compete against Renault.

Torro Rosso launched their new effort dressed up in what looks like all of 5 minutes spent redesigning the 2018 livery.

And Williams 'show off' their new livery in a dark room.
😕

It will be interesting to see. It looks like he drives one handed which must be incredibly physical. The FIA have made some concessions to disabled drivers after Billy Monger was given a single seater licence last year to race F3

Just be glad Williams has a title sponsor. With their terrible form the last year and at the same time losing Martini, they were in serious trouble without any title sponsor. I applaud them for giving up the pay driver route they went with last year and having NO pay drivers this year. Having 1 pay driver is bad enough but 2 pay drivers seriously demotivated the entire team.

Clapping RB in for 2019

🤮
The Merc...looks like a Merc. Fancy nose aero on it.

Is that RB's official livery though or just another launch livery?
Here was last years...

I actually like Merc's better this year compared to years prior.

Nothing released so far has really "wow'd" me though...

Yeah, I think you could be right, its enough of an eye bleed to be hiding a whole other spoiler in there somewhere.

Yeah I forgot about last years till I saw what you just posted (first time seeing it) and that made me remember.
But what I still can't remember is that if they announced that it was just a launch livery or not...

Choo choo the release train has started.

Haas have already pulled the covers back on theirs ( lazy 'Forza style ' moody black and gold effort imho)...

Bloody awful carpet too.
Force India now have a super daft name.
Can Alpha / Sauber hit the top of midfield this year? Go after Haas proper?
Will the Max IS/ISNT a massive Helmsman tribes see eye to eye this year?

It's just called Alfa Romeo this year, the name Sauber has been dropped. I'm actually really curious to see their livery, I think it could be something pretty iconic with their history. Fingers crossed. I also think they will do well and be more of a contender in the midfield and upper mid-field on a more regular basis.

Also interested in seeing how Leclerc gets on at Ferrari, will he live up to the hype or will it be a flop.

Yeah, did that in a bit of a hurry, looked again more carefully and they call it their 'launch look', so I'm thinking you're right. They may have played a blinder here, no one can look at it long enough to clock the aero tweaks or exhaust fettling.

Can confirm that’s RB’s launch livelery not what they are running during the season.

Bummed no more Martini on the Williams.
