Flightmaster Question

I've loved the looks of the Flightmaster for years, but have never seen one in person.
I found one for sale online, for a good price.
How large are these? Are they too large for a normal person?
Any opinions would be helpful.

I would not consider them too large for a normal person. They are big watches, but not to the point it looks like you have a frisbee on your wrist. They wear smaller than you would expect.

Below is a link comparing the size of the flightmaster to the Mark III if that helps. If that doesn't help, I can put it with something similar to a watch you have.

Thanks RES13. That Mark III would definitely be too large, but the Flightmaster doesn't look bad.

If the price is right, get it. They really as cool in person, if not cooler. They are a little expensive to service, so keep that is mind when buying.

Good luck!

The 145.013 flightmaster case with the 910 movement is also a little thinner than the later cases but the difference isnt much

The 911 is smaller than the Mark III, but may be big to someone not accustomed to big watches. The 910 is thinner and more comfortable but doesn't have the time telling second hand.

BTW RES13, the Mark IV 176.009 is also a Speedmaster having the 1040 movement, in addition to the Mark III.

For some reason I always think of the Mark IV with the 1045. Thanks for correcting me on that.

No worry, mate, they look pretty much like each other. In the case of the real Jedi and its imposter, they have nothing in common at all except Omega and Seamaster. How did one get confused about them? 🤨😉

I have a pretty modest 6.75" wrist and I wouldn't hesitate to wear a Flightmaster. It wears smaller than it looks in photos. The lugs are hidden, and the case hugs the wrist, minimizing the impact of the odd case shape.

I've got a 6.5 wrist and a 911, works fine for me. I do feel the 910 wore much better for the smaller wristed though... But I may be mistaken as the last time I tried one was five years ago.

Thanks for all of your opinions.
In the end, I ended up buying a Speedster Mark 4.5.
It's a very cool watch.
