Flightmaster help!

Hi everyone,

I have tried to do my own researching on a flightmaster that has appeared locally, and was wanting some other opinions if possible!

The watch has some papers that label it as a 145.036, however the dial has a 24 hour indicator. I thought these were only present on earlier models that didn't use the calibre 911?

Other than that, it appears that the sunburst pattern is gone, but this could be refinished I guess, and comes without a band. Also not sure if one of the crowns is incorrect?

Other than that it looks ok, a nice original tropical dial and original hands. I would be looking at the watch in person before purchasing and also checking movement/ serial numbers etc. Price is good (I think) , and would give some room for case refinishing and servicing.

Thanks!

The case is far too gone for me, one of the crown on the left side case has been replaced with the wrong style crown, all paint are gone from all the crowns. I don't find the dirty grey dial to be as attractive as the chocolate tropical as well. A definite pass from me.

It is def a 145.013 case and dial. I think a 145.036 movement with a 013 case and dial would be a nonsense so I’d rather say papers and watch don’t belong to each other.

Open the case and you should see a cal 910 2913xxxx or 31633xxx movement and 145.013 engraved on the caseback.

I've also been discussing the watch with the seller and I'm not comfortable with him. Crappy photos. No case back (with engraving) photo in the listing. Papers don't match, but his listing implies he's had it a long time (talks about having lost the strap at some point). Makes me cautious. He's just told me the papers belong to his other flight master 911. I'm not buying it (his story).

Well, that case I wouldn’t be buying it (his watch) either.

Well now he's selling a 911. Perhaps his story about mixing the papers up was true all along.

Hmm I did see that! - the new gumtree add was entertaining.

For the non-Aussies 😉

Up for sale an OMEGA FLIGHTMASTER watch.
An outstanding watch crafted in durable stainless steel and features fine quality Swiss made mechanical movement. This watch has an sporty black/grey dial, with fancy hands/hour marks, has separate second/hour/30-minute chronograph sub-dials.
Every hands are working perfectly. Perfect addition to any fine watch collection.
Note: I don’t have time to time waster and ridiculous offer would be ignored.
Comes with the authenticity paper.
I’m too tired for those people who keep asking questions and asking to send more photos and yet not going to buy it and just mocking around.

I will put this as a bidding post.
Thanks!

I haven't bought anything off Gumtree in ages but thought the accepted perception was that buyers always low-ball.
I was surprised that "Bidding Listings" are legitimate. Priced at "$1 Negotiable"* and looks like three offers have been made so assume that is how things are done these days.
* And that's not going to attract low-ballers and chancers 😀

Edit:
Forgot to add pics 😬

Good looking caseback. Which isn't always the case.

I'm struggling to make out the state of the case. From this angle I think it's possible that it's better than my first impressions from the head on shot.
