Flightmaster 145.013 - bracelet source needed (1159/155 or 1

Hi everyone,

I have a Flightmaster ref. 145.013 (dial with the green/black day-night subdial, caseback with the DC-8 engraving still visible though worn). It's in good overall condition, with a recent service, but it's currently fitted with a non-original leather strap that looks a bit undersized/disproportionate for the case size.

I wanted to ask two things:

  1. Does anyone have, or know of, a 1159/155 bracelet (or its replacement, the 1162/172) available for sale? Ideally looking for something genuine Omega, in good condition.
  2. For the purists here: do you consider fitting a 1162/172 on a 145.013 a "sin" in terms of authenticity, given it wasn't the bracelet that originally shipped with this reference? Or since it's an official Omega service replacement for the same fit, do you see it as a valid option anyway?

Any advice or leads are welcome. Thanks in advance.

The other option if your flightmaster was delivered in Mexico then Holzer the rarer option.

Thanks for the tip on the Holzer! Just to clarify though - my Flightmaster takes a 22mm bracelet, not the 20mm the Speedmaster uses, so I don’t think the Holzer (vintage or the modern Uncle Straps version) would fit in this case. Do you happen to know of any other leads for the 1159/155, or is the 1162/172 replacement really the best bet at this point?

The 1159/155 was obtainable from Omega as a service part few years ago...

I can confirm that the 22mm Holzer strap can easily be mounted on the Flightmaster. I regularly swap it between my MKIII Deep Blue and other 22 mm. models.

As for choice, if I had to, I'd opt for the reference 1159. In my opinion, it matches most of the images in vintage catalogs and Flightmaster advertising photos, and I think it's also much nicer than the 1162, that's not a "sin", because it was also seen on the old catalogs, mounted on the 145.013, but I will wait until to find a 1159.

Another option, while you are searching for he bracelet, given that they're back in stock thanks to their reissue with the original vintage specifications, could also be to mount a Corfam strap.

I think it's not only very nice on the Flightmaster, but it also gives it a unique feel.

In my other Flightmaster I have exactly a Corfam reissue strap and it's really comfortable.

Aprecio mucho tu recomendación y el tiempo que te tomaste . Voy a averiguar cómo conseguir la correa corfam de 22 mm. Alguna idea de cómo conseguir tu modelo? Queda muy lindo. Gracias , saludos
