Flatlink on a jumbo cursive Geneve?

I’m trying to figure out if a 7077/7912 with #6 endlinks would fit on a jumbo cursive Geneve (2748 ref with 19mm lugs - examples below). The endlinks are expensive so I’d probably go aftermarket, but presumably the fit would be similar to the original.

Has anyone tried this pairing? Or does anyone have a jumbo Geneve AND a flatlink with #6 endlinks to give it a quick test?

Hmmm. I’m trying to imagine a flat link on a cursive Genève and I’m not sure that’s a look that would work for me. I can see it on something that is more of a tool or sport watch like a Speedmaster (I have 1175 flat links on both my vintage Speedmasters, see photo below) or a Ranchero, but I’m not sure how it’s going to look on a dress watch like the Genève, especially a cursive Genève which is a very classy watch.

These are dress watches and it works just fine IMO 😀

I’ve never seen on on a jumbo Geneve, though.. so maybe you’re right.

I think that I'd prefer a BOR on those.

I can’t get over how much I like your waffle dial geneve so pretty 😀
Agreed. Love them both, but that one on the left! Really nice. 🥰

After reviewing the link that tamura provided, I’ve changed my mind. Some very nice looking dress watches on flat link bracelets in that thread, although I still think that I’d prefer a BOR on many of them.

I like the flat link on the white one more than the black one but it's not a bad fit.

Well, I ended up sourcing a pair of aftermarket #6 endlinks….

I’m happy. What do you think?

vs BOR..

It works. Original BOR bracelets are of course the gold standard but one can't ignore the usual sloppy fitting of the headlinks-to-case with most of them. It takes a lot of tweaking to get them even close.

Definitely nice on the white dial! Not a bad fit and if you want a tighter fit, I'm sure a watchmaker can do some adjustment.

As one of the leading resident pedants, I wouldn't be happy with those, as the fit is not quite right. And there's a reason for that, namely that, to my knowledge, the early Geneve were not designed to be compatible with bracelets! In other words, I'm not confident that any standard end-links would work perfectly.

Nothing fits better than the 10Usd chinese Endlinks😀 (they are not moving at all)
