Can anyone point me in the direction of some replacement springs for the stretch links to a flat link bracelet?. Also, I thought I saw someone that was making their own. They had a little jig setup of some sort for bending the springs. Any ideas?
Oddly, I just found these as well. My 1039 bracelet is as below (partially disassembled): You can see below that someone has tried to replace springs with a much weaker version (on the right) so I'll be interested to see if the Urdelar ones are to the original Omega spec - I suspect so as they have been very good with everything I've bought from them before. Will order some fairly soon and report back when it's done, if there is an interest. Cheers, Chris
no it's pretty easy ... there is a manual how to do it ... just goolge something like replacing spring links omega ....
@mcgyver has them here: https://urvintage.se/omega-1039 Pretty sure they are still available, I got some a few months back, and I am pretty sure he made them for Urdelar.
Thanks, this sounds interesting. One question. Do you know if I can use these link springs also for the "folded" links in a 1039 bracelet?
If I understand the question correctly, the answer is NO. These are only for the removable stretch links, the fixed links do not use springs.
Perfect and thanks again, I am learning every day here. I didn't know the "folded" ones don't use link springs.
