Ernest Jones. It was on offer down to £3,500 including a free watch winder. Still says in stock!

They're buggers for that, have seen loads of people moan about this with EJ over the years. What about if you select a store for collection? Worth a try if you have one close? That's a great price especially with them being discontinued, if they ever come back Omega will set the price much higher.

EDIT was going to test it and see if it showed stores with stock but once you add to basket before you can get to store select it changes to out if stock, sorry buddy looks like you're out of luck there.

Yeah, I’m now thinking of picking up a moonwatch instead but will need to work out whether to get the new 2021 model or the model before which can still be picked up new. Any thoughts?

Tricky, I like the step dial and bracelet of the new version, but prefer the dial writing of the previous model. If you can still get the previous model at a good price over the new that's what is go for personally.

At a quick glance they don't seem to be AD or OB whilst they might get watches through these, but I'm not sure. Maybe try and contact an AD or OB as there seem to be a couple in or around London.
EJ are an AD. They are part Signet Group who also operate as Sterling, Jared, Kay’s, H Samuel etc and are massive worldwide company. The biggest jewellery retailer in the world in fact.

Ok, thanks for the hint. I took a quick look at the official Omega website and I must have missed it. Sorry for the misinformation then.

When the Mark II reissue was released I saw the photos and wanted the racing dial . I visited an Omega Boutique and saw the racing next to the black and immediately liked the black much more . It took till 2020 to actually acquire my Mark II and I’m still loving this watch . Is it true that all iterations have been discontinued ?

I heard at an AD yesterday that the Orange variant of the Mk II has now been discontinued - can’t say about the “straight” Mk II. Others may have better information.

Yes. It's no longer available at their official site. There is black dial available but not this or Rio edition. They are not available.

That seems an odd decision if the black dial is not discontinued, it seems the racing dial is infinitely more popular (at least on watch forums). Maybe there is just more remaining stock or the black hence still available for now.

I thought both colours were discontinued. Good to know black is still available.

That's right, perhaps it's just final stock getting cleared. That means Mark ll is not in production for quite some time now...

The steep drop off of the case design makes it appear chunkier than it is. It's less thick then current or previous gen POs and barely thicker than a Speedy Pro to put it in perspective.
This is the watch I want to buy most but when I tried it on yesterday I was a bit shocked at how thick it looked, the staff didn't know the thickness but by eye I had to guess it was 16 mm minimum and maybe even 17 mm thick...and I was really turned off by the height.

A (somewhat) timely post as my local dealer has a pre-owned reissue with the racing dial. And I want it, badly. I've really come to appreciate the big, weird, barrel case. And the way the orange was used really makes the dial pop. I love it!

Hi all a friend who has been hunting one of these (black dial) for a while found out from a regional director at Omega (actually Swatch Group) that all versions of the Mark II are no longer being produced. There are some new pieces remaining dotted about the dealer network however because they did him a solid and were able to get one sent from Europe to his AD in Australia.

He has been obsessed with this watch and it must grow on you because I find myself wanting one of these (soon to be impossible to get unworn) pieces. The story behind it is fantastic (to the original poster - thank you). And I haven't even seen it in the flesh as I don't live in Australia.

The more you understand about this watch the more you like it! The want is strong!

I don't believe there's been official communication from Omega on the Mk II ceasing production, but on their site, the watch is listed with an MSRP. In North America, the watch is still available from ADs and boutiques.

Also, I love mine. 😁
